Development of an Ecosystems Services Strategy for Australia
Activities in 2008 and 2009
These will depend upon the specific accomplishments in 2007. It is expected
that the development of a national framework for incorporation of ecosystem
services into Australian management of the landscapes will generate a series
of subsidiary questions. The task for Australia 21 in this context will
be to assist in the development of a framework for considering and responding
to these questions, bringing together leading thinkers and researchers
to
interact with managers from both the private and public sectors to build
bipartisan consensus on ways to enhance the sustainability of Australian
landscapes.
