The next big question: about this project

WHY?

Australia21 is developing this two year project to create a new conversation on the big questions facing Australia at a time that calls for informed and inventive thinking.

We are creating an interactive, global space for eminent Australians to reflect on Australia’s future and in so doing making an exceptional contribution to the essential thinking and responses to the unprecedented challenges facing Australia within the global world today.

HOW?

Recognised Australians will be invited to reflect on the questions:

What is the next big question?
What are its implications for Australia’s future?

They will do so in two major ways:

1) Events - which are lecture presentations

2) E-presentations – which are 3-5 minute reflections via video or audio links.

WHEN?

Over a two year period until March 2011 – the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Australia21.
